Berkeley, CA/March 2017 – Dora’s is now open in Berkeley, providing the East Bay with a new taproom at which to enjoy locally sourced craft beers. Twelve taps, half of them pouring Fieldwork Brewing beers are supplemented by offerings from Altamont Beer Works, Henhouse Beer and Berryessa Brewing Co.
The Dora’s food menu showcases bunzas, an old fashioned stuffed sandwich made from brioche dough with fillings including chicken korma, beef and cheddar, and Vietnamese pork. On the sweet side, there is a selection of house made pies that currently includes Key lime, apple, blueberry and chocolate silk.
Highlights of the rustic country design and décor of Dora’s include a lime green color scheme, lots of natural light, reclaimed wood (from an 1822 railroad tunnel) counter panels, hexagonal black and white tile flooring, an exhibition kitchen and, displayed on the walls, vintage kitchen tools such as rolling pins and sifters. There is seating for 20 people plus an outdoor beer garden that, weather permitting, can accommodate up to 80 additional guests who can enjoy views of a competition-level rose garden.
