With no fees to artists, areas of sidewalk will be assigned to participants to create their own fanciful chalk drawings.

This year’s Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade will honor local community service organizations. Each year, the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley raises funds though parade sponsorships, entry fees and community service projects.

The Alameda 4th of July Parade is one of the largest and longest Independence Day parade in the nation. With over 170 floats and 2,500 participants who travel a three mile route, the parade has become the central activity of the Bay Area’s Fourth of July weekend.

What is the 4th of July without a good “old-fashioned” traditional hometown parade? Concord’s annual 4th of July parade presented by Todos Santos Business Association and Tesoro will start at 10AM this year!

What started in 2004 as a little street fest sponsored by a small group of local merchants has blossomed into one of Oakland’s premier cultural events. In 2005, the Telegraph Temescal Business Improvement District (TTBID) took over the fair’s sponsorship and, since then, the event’s growth has been exponential. 2012 boasted four stages (the Main stage, Kid’s stage and two Jazz stages) and three additional blocks of vendors, offering even more opportunities to promote local artists, craftspeople and creative dare-to-doers, representing the area’s rich tapestry of creativity and culture.
